His philosophy is entrenched in simplicity and minimalism, and his passion is helping to resolve individuals' health-related problems using lifestyle adjustments. He served in the U.S. Army, and has academic training in math, science, philosophy, exercise physiology, and psychology.
Al was skeptical about the Buteyko breathing method, and it took a severe illness for him to give it a proper go. A year lost to skepticism didn't change the significant health improvements that Al experienced shortly after beginning Buteyko breathing. He resolved his own panic attacks and high anxiety, ceased pharmaceutical therapy, improved his mood and sense of well-being, and, in his own words: "is a far better functioning human being".
Al offers instruction in English.
